How the SAFFT Partner Model Works

There are many moving parts that contribute to the success of SAFFT and our ultimate goal of restoring families and allowing children to thrive. Here’s how the parts fit together:

Our County & State Partners

Forsyth County
www.forsythco.com
Forsyth County is committed to providing and maintaining the most efficient, customer service-oriented county government possible. The county will be an innovative and strategic leader in providing essential and effective public services in a fiscally prudent and professional manner. By preserving and enhancing a high quality of life, Forsyth County will remain a healthy, safe and compelling place in which to live, work, recreate, visit and invest.

DHS

DHS is the new structure of the former Georgia Department of Human Resources. Our mission is to provide Georgia with customer-focused human services that promote child and adult protection, child welfare, stronger families and self-sufficiency.

Forsyth Juvenile & Superior Court
www.forsythco.com
The Juvenile Court is committed to the care, safety and guidance of children; to respectful and just treatment of all involved; to the personal development and accountability of children and their families; to public safety, and to restoration of victims and communities.

Our Agency & Non-Profit Partners
CASA
www.forsythcountycasa.org
Our vision is to help every abused child in Forsyth County who needs us.  The courts and state foster care system are overloaded and sometimes children do not get the help they need.  That’s where CASA volunteers  step in!

Community Connections
www.handsonforsyth.org
The Forsyth County Community Connection creates opportunities for people to volunteer, learn and lead in their community. We strive to provide volunteers with a high-quality experience that fuels further action, and we envision a day when everyone is inspired and equipped to be the change they wish to see in the world.

Bald Ridge Lodge, Inc.
www.baldridgelodge.org
Bald Ridge Lodge, Inc., is a non-profit Stabilization and Assessment Center for boys located in Forsyth County, Georgia which serves boys ages 12-17. We serve those who are in the custody of the Department of Family and Children Services or referred by the local Juvenile Court.

Jesse’s House
www.jesseshouse.org
Each day adolescent women from across the greater Atlanta-area are brought together at Jesse’s House to find something they are missing – understanding and support through a loving environment. Working with a number of young ladies, presenting a variety of different backgrounds, Jesse’s House is a non-profit organization that provides emergency and long-term care to youth who have suffered abuse or delinquency that grew out of the recognized need by the Cumming / Forsyth Council on Youth and Concerned Citizens for an emergency children’s shelter in the North Georgia area.

Mentor Me
www.mentormenorthga.org
Mentor Me, established as a Leadership Forsyth Class Project in 2002, became “Mentor Me-North Georgia” in 2008.  In nearly 10 years of serving Forsyth County more than 400 children have been mentored. Through your support and hundreds of volunteers, we serve the needs of children in Forsyth and surroundign counties. Our programs help children get the positive reinforcement they need to make good choices and stay away from drugs, delinquency and teen pregnancy.  Mentor Me is proud to be a United Way agency.
